Republican Watch

People who say "Democrats are as bad as Republicans" are almost as bad as Republicans.

For discussion of politics, and what's going on in the world today.

Someone "swatted" Marjorie Greene" last night at 1 AM. I'm not in favor of doing shit like that, it's cruel and dangerous. But it couldn't have happened to a "better" person. :tehe:
She says she answers the door with a gun. Lucky she's white, otherwise they might have shot first, and asked questions later, as they're wont to do.

Ron DeFascist.

Didn't he get elected by the skin of his teeth? I would hope he gets given the boot, skin or not.

Nazi Germany was actually the gays' fault, according to right-wing radio host Jesse Kelly. And alas, Republicans are going to have to follow in the footsteps of the Nazis, not because Republicans are fucking terrible people, but because those dastardly gays have left them no other choice.

audio and text:
Right-wing radio host blames LGBTQ “degeneracy” for the rise of Hitler
https://www.mediamatters.org/jesse-kelly/citing-nazi-germany-right-wing-radio-host-claims-lgbtq-people-will-never-be-accepted
But people forget about something else that was a key part of the rise of the Nazis in Germany. People know what I just told you there. That's – most people know that the high points of history of the Weimar Republic.

Do you know that part of the Weimer Republic was social degeneracy Europe had never seen before? Do you know, the whole LGBTQ thing? Do you know, that was going wild in places like Berlin at this time? And do you know that there were so many Germans, Jew-hatred or not, so many Germans who were willing to accept anything to make that degeneracy stop? They wanted it stopped. This is actually part – I'm glad you brought this up. This is part of why I've been warning time and time and time again – not cheering for – warning.

There is a right-wing dictator of some kind coming. Please, God, don't let it be Hitler. But there is one coming. You guys can enjoy all this woop it up all you want with your pink feather boas on and put on the drag shows for little kids and turn teenage – cut the penises off of teenage boys all you want. Have a good time with your demonic degeneracy. There will be a response.

There will be a response because so many Americans, so many will not live in a country like that. I hear people talk all the time about the divide. We're too divided. We need to unite, divide. We don't need to unite at all. I'm not uniting with that. If you're putting on a drag show for children, if you have your son putting dollar bills in the thongs of men who are dancing, dressed up like prostitutes...

We're not uniting. Either we're going to separate as a country or I'm going to defeat you by any means necessary. But I'm not uniting with you, and you shouldn't unite with them either. We are separate. We are enemies. You want something opposite of what I want. And I'm glad you brought up the Weimar Republic. Because that was actually, it's one of the things they don't talk about. You talk to these useless historians because they don't want to bring up that stuff. They'll bring up the devaluation of the currency and they'll bring up the fact that people were angry at the Jews for owning the banks and then buying up property and that – they did – that was part of it.

But all these quote historians today, they all seem to leave out the part – traditional Germans. Germans are proud people; traditional Germans who were proud of their country, they looked out, they looked across the street at the latest gay nightclub and they said, "Find me whoever is going to stop that." And they did. And he turned out to be a monster. That's what you risk. There will be a response. Let's hope it's the right one. Because, man, that can go ugly fast.

Tucker Carlson accuses schools and hospitals of “sex crimes” and tells viewers they have a moral duty to dole out “instant justice” “no matter what the law says”

Carlson: “No one should put up with this. No parent should put up with this for one second, no matter what the law says. Your duty – your moral duty – is to defend your children. This is an attack on your children and you should fight back”

Reminder that in Nazi Germany, homosexuals were treated just as harshly as Jews:

I find TYT really irritating most of the time, but they are carrying the most complete summary of this story I could find.

Basically the Republican candidate being fielded against the "radical Marxist" AOC is a hilarious caricature of a mob wife. Her husband and son are both convicted felons with multiple busts for drug and arms dealing through the family "drinks distribution business".

She wants to be seen as the "law and order candidate".

Been watching these republican assholes fuck with people’s lives by sending bus loads of them across the country.

Something these rednecked bastards don’t get is they are a small natural disaster or social problem away from doing whatever it takes to give their kids a chance at survival. Just like those migrants are doing every day.

This is what it means to be Republican now. Truly, enemies of the people, in every respect.

They're now running on the platform of being assholes and anti-reality on every topic that involves politics, and most of the other topics too. Not to mention violent.
Here's another example of complete and utter assholery, Madge Taylor Greene's latest commercial. What the hell does hog hunting in Texas have to do with representing in congress her district in Georgia? She's nuts.

I just recalled a comic I thought might be relevant to these book bans but having a bit of trouble finding it. I can't recall the exact content but that it was a bunch of reich-wing talking heads going on about something [not sure if it was evolution or climate change]. I recall it ended with a panel showing either an Indian or Asian student saying something along the lines of 'by all means keep that up, we would certainly like be able to get jobs'.

Does that sound familiar? My internet searching has come up short so far.

The total damages may exceed 100 billion $.
I feel bad for all of the people dealing with destruction down there. But...there's always a but.
"In the meantime, he and his wife are thinking about Texas. "I have a son over there," he says, "and he doesn't like Florida." Susan says, "Neither do I much now today."

Texas, home of droughts, deadly heat waves, unreliable electric grid, especially during times of most need, and was it Houston a few years ago who got 48 inches of rain in one storm?
