They're government officials. If they can't be expected to uphold the constitution, and even deliberately ignore and trample all over it, they should be fired. They're obviously unfit for their jobs.

How do these people even get elected? Nobody is outlawing praying, just not government instituted prayer. If they all want to sit in a corner and partake in their mental circlejerk before the meeting, fine but it has no place in the meeting itself. Is it really that hard of a distinction to understand?

Christians feel that Christianity itself is threatened, and like a cornered animal, they are going to fight. That their religion is seen increasingly as irrelevant in the UK, we're witnessing a backlash, a determination not to go peacefully. We are seeing its death-throes here. And as reason holds its head up in the US & declares superstition to be just that, I suspect the increasing desire amongst the faithful to act antagonistically towards a secular state, is growing.

So the economy is in the toilet, local services and infrastructure are in a mess, and these brainiacs decide what they are going to spend their time doing is talking to the ceiling.
