Santorum's new revelation: Democrats are anti-science

His views are not "anti-science" as Democrats claim, Santorum said. "When it comes to the management of the Earth, they are the anti-science ones. We are the ones who stand for science, and technology, and using the resources we have to be able to make sure that we have a quality of life in this country and (that we) maintain a good and stable environment," he said to applause, and cited local ordinances to reduce coal dust pollution in Pittsburgh during the heyday of coal mining.

I should stop reading about Santorum. It's bad for my blood pressure. And my laptop.

In the US liberals and conservatives both tend to be pretty anti-science. The main difference is that one party typically weeds them out in primaries or at least defers to experts when setting policy.

This dope is a congenital liar and prevaricator who wouldn't know a scientific fact if one bit him on the ankle.

He has claimed vociferously that global warming is a "hoax," and has the temerity to to say he's not "anti-science"? He is the epitome of anti-science, a true dumber-than-a-box-of-rocks whacko who ought to be shunned from the front pages for being dangerous to everyone's health and well being. :yuk:

As a congenital liar and prevaricator I take exception at being compared to Rick Santorum, and invoke the FUA. I'll have you know, young man, that there are a congenital liars and prevaricators saner than Rick Santorum.

This is a very common Republican tactic. Pro-welfare Democrats are racist because they prevent blacks from reaching their true potential. Pro-choicers hate women because they encourage them to kill their babies. And on and on and on.

Say what you want about their motives but technically, if you just look at the money, Democrats tend to cut science funding and Republicans tend to increase it- yes, even George Dubyah.

A lot of science funding is actually found within the military believe it or not.

Yeah, and there's a lot of gay sex happening in prison. That doesn't make being for reduced prison populations an anti-gay position.

I'm not agreeing with Santorum. I was commenting on the comment Dudley made about how a lot of democrats actually do cut science funding while republicans increase spending. A lot of that correlates with military spending.

lol.
That has me think, if by some chance he is the GOP candidate somebody has to come up with a "Frothy" cartoon character who is literally a mix of feces and lube and is pissed off that Rick Santorum is giving him a bad name.
