I don't think anyone is claiming they are atheisis. They're just another religious group that should have the same right to proselityze to youngsters in school as any other religious group. I don't see why any religious group should be able to do so, but there it is. I don't know if it's what the Satanists are trying to accomplish, but this is probably the surest way to get the Bible-bashers out of the school. If parents are faced with the choice of their kids either being told about Jesus and Satan, or being told about neither, I'm betting they go with neither.

While obviously the biblical satan is supernatural there are definitely satanic churches that are definitely non-supernatural believers. Personal freedom and all that shit. Remember satan in the bible is the ultimate scientist revealing knowledge and light to humanity

OK, I was hasty. Satanism is a broad 'church'.

It seems there is Athesitic Satanism
and Theistic Satanism

If people worship a theistic Satan it's at least as bad a Christianity in promoting baseless beliefs.

Depending on what characteristics of Satan they adore, it could be worse that Christianity, or not as bad.

This is LaVeyan Satanism, not Christian Satanism. It's mostly atheistic, has a strong Libertarian/Randian slant.

Do actual devil worshipers really exist today? I always thought the whole Satanism thing was either tongue-in-cheek (kind of like the Flying Spaghetti Monster), or the fantasy of Christian parents whose kids got into Slayer and D&D.

These guys seem quite rational. That's an issue, because some people will then equate rational people with this group. Tell me they won't.

It has to be a joke. Numbers 1-24 are just drawing the circle. An eight year old kid would be like wtf?

The kid's book is brilliant highly offensive to christians but nothing in it that could remotely legally be considered abusive to children
