This episode and particularly this part always helps make me feel good when I'm depressed about a woman.

Also, this for when I'm feeling generally depressed, a bit of existential dread, etc.

I hardly knew where to post this.... maybe we need a new thread of survival stories...

I had been watching The Heavy Water War ( highly recommended ) and then came across this..an astounding read

The Fugitive
His feet froze solid. An avalanche buried him up to his
neck. Villagers risked death to hide him. How Jan Baalsrud
escaped the Nazis and became a Norwegian folk hero.

I grew up lower class to lower middle class. There was a brief time when we were more middle than lower middle, but only for a few years. I always wanted to live in a suburban home. Seems boring, but boring is good when you've dealt with being foreclosed on, living with other relatives, and living in a shitty old trailer.
It is possible lately that we might get something like that. It's not a sure thing, but a realistic possibility that we can be approved for and afford a nice little suburban home. Hell, I'd be happy in a new trailer, but this makes me feel good, especially since my life's been in the shitter lately.
Here's a site with the pictures.

Having a nicer place to live is good. It doesn't solve everything, but every little bit helps!

I know I can be pretty resilient when I have at least one thing to look forward to. All I need is a spark, and then I just keep burning. Even if we don't get this place, we will eventually get a nicer place than where we're at. This is the first time we're looking for a place when we aren't forced to, and that feels good.
I've been very depressed for the umpteenth time in my life and suicidal for the first time in my life. I thought I was suicidal before, but it was more of a cry for help. I was feeling pretty beaten. Never attempted it, and I'm glad because I'm starting to see some hope.
