Sydney - The mother of a 12-year-old girl strip-searched by police during a drug raid said on Thursday she was outraged in a case that has sparked a public outcry and calls for a review of the law.

The girl was strip-searched twice in the Tasmanian state capital Hobart last week and her mother, Kristy Gobbey, said her child felt humiliated.

So the mother was strip searched in Sydney but her daughter was strip searched in Hobart... twice...

The mother of the girl whom was strip searched, because girl was strip searched at grandmothers house during a drug raid.

Gotcha...
So, during a drug raid, should children be off limit for searches if there is enough evidence to warrant a drug raid?

Makes me side with police... Am I the only person who reacts negatively to stuff like this? I see an appeal to emotion and it makes me turn against the person making the appeal.

indeed, if children become exempt from the law then every druggy will stash their stuff in childs to prevent it being found

of course this would not happen if they just legalised drugs... but since when are governments rational?

I'm sure being strip searched by the police when you're 12 is very horrifying. You have to weigh up...... no, just legalise and regulate drugs like any other product.
