UK Government sex scandal

#1  Postby DaveScriv » Jun 02, 2013 4:18 pm

I guess a lot of members have seen the rather frustrating article in today's 'Mail on Sunday'. Two unnamed, but presumably prominent Tories had an affair which, the M o S said, will be as 'shocking' as the John Major & Edwina Currie fling, but no names given.

I'm guessing everyone in 'The Westminster Village' knows who, but does anyone else know yet?

PM'd answers welcomed if anyone knows, but doesn't want to risk being sued by saying on a public forum.

Suprised?

Come on there must be hundreds of affaires in that place. Just imagine all the testosterone flying around the place. They have such big egos how can they sit so close to each other?

The intriguing thing is why the media can't publish anything about it "for legal reasons"...

except it makes sense in the case of two particular people... 8-)

Not what the article says. It doesn't even say that they are MPs, for good reason...

The widely-held view is that this is Leveson-related. I have a strong inkling, not 100%, either way it's not something I will place on a public forum.
If a liberal party does something, then that act, by definition, is a liberal one. The only alternative is that they are not a liberal party.

Я пью за разоренный дом,
За злую жизнь мою,
За одиночество вдвоем,
И за тебя я пью, -
За ложь меня предавших губ,
За мертвый холод глаз,
За то, что мир жесток и груб,
За то, что Бог не спас.

Maybe a senior Tory, even a PM MP & the former editor of a former newspaper, or something?

Maybe it's Sam Cam who's played away. Sam & Boris? Maybe leaving the daughter behind in the pub was Cameron's way of acknowledging she was someone else's kid. You never know. Stranger things have happened

The Daily Mail and the MoS really can't get their act together, can they.

In the Boris Johnson 'Love Child' scandal, the appeal court, (the Daily Mail reported), decided that it "... was a public interest matter which the electorate was entitled to know when considering his fitness for high public office".

I see! So those already in 'High Office', or at least prominent Tories, are, er, immune?

Old Etonians, perhaps...
