Ukip donor Arron Banks says he has quit party to set up 'Ukip 2.0'

Man who bankrolled Leave.EU campaign claims his membership was suspended after his outspoken attacks on party

Arron Banks, the Ukip donor who bankrolled the multimillion-pound Leave.EU Brexit campaign, has said he has quit Ukip and will now set up a new political force.

The insurance millionaire said on Tuesday that he was planning to “concentrate on our new movement” after he claimed Ukip had suspended his membership.

Asked by the Guardian if it meant his increasingly strained relationship with Ukip was now over, he quoted the pop star Taylor Swift: “We are never ever getting back together … like ever.”

Can UKIP recover from this withdrawal of money source?

A great bit of infighting.

Comments from Farage and Banks suggest Cardwell was a moderating force and UKIP is now set to become (even more) blatantly anti immigration party. Of course it was never about the EU for them.
Why do you think that?

Is that woman for real?
No sex education in schools?
Introduce the the death penalty with the guillotine? (I suppose she could finance UKIP with ringside seats...)

It's got to be someone taking the piss, surely, even if they've gone to the trouble of joining UKIP and standing for real as part of their street theatre installation.

You'd be forgiven for thinking that, but then here are the ones who aren't *quite* nutter enough to join UKIP, but are just nutter enough to attempt to stand for the Tories (and then had to jump/were pushed in the last few weeks):

If the tories are having such trouble finding local election candidates who aren't going to be ejected within weeks, imagine the trouble UKIP are having.

Although, of course, unlike the Tories UKIP won't bother suspending them. I mean, this guy is their only elected politician in Scotland:

You see, the UKIP is very inclusive. Even mole people are allowed in.
