Only a couple of hundred on the march (1500 total), so I had to dig a bit to get the story: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-15051554

Wall Street champagne-swillers stand on balcony and laugh at protesters.....

I like this YouTube user comment....

Smirking people on the balcony can't see the guillotines on the horizon.

The owners of Zuccotti Park are "protesting the protesters"....

The group made the park their base after the NYPD increased security around the stock exchange to prevent mass protests in the heart of the financial district.

The park is private property, and now the owners are trying to get the group to move on. Brookfield Office Properties says the swarm of protesters prevents the public from enjoying the space.

I've just seen the pepperspray incident fly around twitter, and apparantly the other cops went 'wtf' at the officer spraying the women. Can't they simply arrest the police officer who did this (on the grounds that he basically attacked someone)?

I hope he gets charged with assault.

Regardless, he has been identified and I believe is now undergoing "review"...

Occupy Wall Street: 'Pepper-Spray' Officer Named in Bush Protest Claim
Anthony Bologna, NYPD officer accused of pepper-spray incident, is accused of civil rights violations at the 2004 Republican National Convention protests

A senior New York police officer accused of pepper-spraying young women on the "Occupy Wall Street" demonstrations is the subject of a pending legal action over his conduct at another protest in the city.

The Guardian has learned that the officer, named by activists as deputy inspector Anthony Bologna, stands accused of false arrest and civil rights violations in a claim brought by a protester involved in the 2004 demonstrations at the Republican national convention.

and

Bologna's name appeared on Twitter and on activists' websites after the incident on Saturday. YouTube footage appears to show a white-shirted NYPD officer firing the spray into the eyes of the protesters, who are penned in by other officers with orange netting. As the officer walks away, two of the women crumple to the ground, screaming in pain.

There were a number of clashes between protesters and police at the march, when protesters moved uptown from their base at a park in the Financial District. There were about 80 arrests.

Hacker collective Anonymnous claimed responsibility on Monday for posting Bologna's details, which they said was in retribution for the pepper-spray incident.

The online postings identified Bologna as a deputy inspector of Patrol Borough Manhattan South, and revealed his phone number and family details.

The Last Word: Rewriting Occupy Wall Street Protests
This weekend a few trouble makers turned a peaceful protest against Wall Street greed into a violent burst of chaos. The troublemakers carried pepper spray and guns and were wearing badges.

Can anyone remind me how many of that grassroots campaign championed by the Tea Party got arrested/maced?

This lot can't be a proper populist protest. I mean, where are their corporate backers?

And besides - their signs are spelt properly.

What's the latest on this? I've read a few random articles and it's hard to gauge the numbers, but it appears as if there's a diverse range of groups and a diverse range of cities getting involved. Could we finally be seeing the start of something here?

I've been seeing a number references to the following centralized web site. It's certainly more widespread than just WS.
