Kind of like testing for German spies by asking them to say the word "squirrel" (which would work both ways, we can't say their word for the little fuckers, either).

Atheism is not a 'life style' choice. As an Atheist I dont live 'without god' knowing he is there and choose to ignore him, I live 'without god' because THERE IS NO GOD. :what:

I don't believe in Tony Abbott, or the American Tea Party -I just ignore them. Sure they exist, but so do turds on one's shoe. One scrapes them off, and moves on.

Sigh! I wonder if he didn't get what he prayed for for Christmas, so he's sulking at "God." Or maybe he's cross with his church.

Load of nonsense. Still invite him to join us here. John Platko can tell him it's all in his imagination.

From The Blasphemy Challenge...
You may damn yourself to Hell however you would like, but somewhere in your video you must say this phrase: "I deny the Holy Spirit."

Why? Because, according to Mark 3:29 in the Holy Bible, "Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin." Jesus will forgive you for just about anything, but he won't forgive you for denying the existence of the Holy Spirit. Ever. This is a one-way road you're taking here.

I think you should read the link.

There are a lot of people on this forum who started out religious, I'm really surprised that more people don't believe this guy might be similar.

I will read atheist "sacred texts"

I agree. Whatever the original motivation might be, if more believers were to spend a year living as an atheist, they might come to learn something. In particular that the world won't collapse if they ignore sky daddy.

If he's really open-minded, he should be learning counter-apologetics from the masters.

I'm just worried he'll be put off right from the start by the virulent anti-religion, anti-religious posts. He may sadly never get beyond those to the ones you are talking about. :sigh:

Well, if that's what happens, that's what happens. It may be that, if he's really open-minded, which I doubt, he'll take something useful away from those posts.

What's useful to take from such mindless 'arguments' such as "all religious people are delusional"? I'm not talking about the well-thought out arguments, even the heated ones.

So you're already not giving him the benefit of the doubt? Nice.

Of course I'm not giving him the benefit of the doubt, because there's no benefit to be given. His manifesto is laid out, and it's pretty unequivocal. It's a publicity stunt.
