I've been watching their videos all day, and most of it is just worrying. How much money, that could go to charities, NASA, curing diseases and helping disaster stricken countries, is wasted on alternative medicine alone is alarming, to say the least. Not to mention what the Vatican and Ratzinger is doing.

This video describes how, in ancient Hebrew, the books of the Bible originally had various names such as El Elyon, El Shaddai, and Yahweh in places where modern English translations usually just say "God" or "the Lord". Is there a modern English version that uses the original names that were in those places, or at least translates them directly (god of mountains, god of armies, highest god)?

^ I don't know of any such translation, but it would be nice (though terribly confusing to believers). I generally use the Catholic New Jerusalem version, which is a fairly recent literal scholarly translation, referring to God as "Yahweh God" in the Yahwist sections. There's also the Hebrew Interlinear Bible.

And, speaking of Catholicism and anti-theist videos, here's Hitchens' debunking of the Mother Teresa legend:

Yeah, P&T don't pull any punches. Watched their take on Feng Sui and bottled water last night . They also do a number on modern "saints" in their "Holier Than Thou" Bullshit segment:

I can't believe nobody has mentioned them yet.

thunderf00ts "Why people laugh at creationists" videos on youtube are pure awesomeness, I think we're at #36 now.. he doesn't hold back on the science. Particular lulz at one episode where he repeats a number of times "Science... it works bitches" haha
