Haha, wow, wasn't expecting this. Some of you probably have never heard of Cyrus, she's a very famous young generation teen singer/actor with millions of followers on Twitter. Raised as devout Christian.

Here's the screenshot of the post and the Christian fan rage:

Image

Here's a transcript of the quote she posted, a great quote by physicist Krauss which I'm sure you've all heard:

"Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And, the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand. It really is the most poetic thing I know about physics: You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded, because the elements– the carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron, all the things that matter for evolution and for life– weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in the nuclear furnaces of stars, and the only way for them to get into your body is if those stars were kind enough to explode. So forget Jesus; the stars died so that you could live."

She is very popular with young teens, especially girls, in the US. This post is totally unexpected, and renews my faith in humanity. Agreed, good for her.

I'm waiting for something like this to be the deathbed confession of a pope. Not holding my breath, though.

I think of Miley Cyrus in 30 years or so, and picture the "star-dust" lady from the film Before Sunrise with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy.

Just found this news from last year about her idiot father, Billy Ray Cyrus:

http://www.patheos.com/blogs/friendlyat ... eist-sign/

Looks like he was upset about his daughter being exposed to open-minded and rational people in Hollywood.

Check in to her tweets next week. It likely will be something completely different. Maybe she has what Steven Wright calls HD-ADD, or High-Definition Attention Deficit Disorder. She can barely pay attention, but when she does, it comes in VERY clear.

Somebody should have bolded the Jesus part for Ms Cyrus.

Or else she knew full well what she was posting, and didn't give a shit what her fans would say. Unlikely, but still.

Good point there, if she knew it said "So forget Jesus", you'd think she would not have posted since it would cost her some fans and popularity. So either she is a fraud and didn't really read the whole thing in the first place, or she did read it and was confident enough in her beliefs to post it despite any effect it might have on her career.

Joking aside, I've been liking Cyrus more as she gets older. Shedid that Joan Jett thing and she's just different. This really could be a change in her.

This is the girl that posed for semi nude pictures at 15 and did a pole dance a the Teen Choice awards. And her christian fans are shocked over this?
