There's only about 20 quotes, we need some more.

Quotes should sum up an anti-theist position or atheist argument in a few witty words and be as short and sweet as possible.

If there are any programmers here, the source is at http://harry.lu/files/godtroll.txt

"Churches are to small towns as Starbucks are to cities: there's one on every corner and they all sell the same shit."

"When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."

"What can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without proof."

"A man is accepted into a church for what he believes and he is turned out for what he knows."

"Mine was a trained Presbyterian conscience and knew but the one duty -- to hunt and harry its slave upon all pretexts and on all occasions, particularly when there was no sense nor reason in it."

"The Church has opposed every innovation and discovery from the day of Galileo down to our own time, when the use of anesthetic in childbirth was regarded as a sin because it avoided the biblical curse pronounced against Eve."

"The motto stated a lie. If this nation has ever trusted in God, that time has gone by; for nearly half a century almost its entire trust has been in the Republican party and the dollar -- mainly the dollar."

"That fear first created the gods is perhaps as true as anything so brief could be on so great a subject."

"If we believe absurdities, we shall commit atrocities."

Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions. Ideas must be distinct before reason can act upon them; and no man ever had a distinct idea of the trinity. It is the mere Abracadabra of the mountebanks calling themselves the priests of Jesus. - Thomas Jefferson

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion. - Steven Weinberg

Is God willing to prevent evil but unable? Then he is not omnipotent
Is he able but not willing? Then he is malevolent
If he is neither willing nor able then why call him God?
If he is both able and willing then whence cometh evil? - Epicurus (paraphrased because I can't translate Greek)

Arguing with a creationist is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how well you play, it will knock over the pieces, take a crap on the board then fly back to its flock proclaiming victory.

Atheism is a religion in the same way that bald is a hair colour
"He who begins by loving Christianity more than Truth, will proceed by loving his sect or church better than Christianity, and end in loving himself better than all."

Samuel Taylor Coleridge 1772-1834

It is wrong in all cases to believe on insufficient evidence; and where it is presumption to doubt and to investigate, there it is worse than presumption to believe.

W.K. Clifford

The idea that things must have a beginning is really due to the poverty of our imagination.

Bertrand Russell

The problem with fantasies is you can't really insist that everyone else believes in yours, the other problem with fantasies is that most believers of fantasies eventually get around to doing exactly that.

Theism equals childhood.
DBD is a fun username. I do not imagine myself as a reincarnation of T.H. Huxley, and with respect, neither should you.

I will try to find some slogans my brother made up and post them later.

However, I thought instead of a slogan a good soundbyte for a text alert would be to have someone like William Shatner shout Jeebus, like he shouted '' Khannnn!!'' In Star Trek 2. lol I think I would enjoy that.

The original quote is: "Debating creationists on the topic of evolution is rather like trying to play chess with a pigeon -- it knocks the pieces over, craps on the board, and flies back to its flock to claim victory." - Scott D. Weitzenhoffer

There's a few short and sweet ones here: http://leftofzen.com/quotes-atheism/2008/01/14

This is one of my favorites: "Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion." - Steven Weinberg

Short and sweet: "I believe in God, only I spell it Nature." - Frank Lloyd Wright

Somewhat crude, but effective:

Treat religion like your genitalia. Don't wave it around in public or try to shove it down your kids' throats.

(and noted on the pigeon chess quote, it's suprisingly difficult to Google for the original when you can't remember the author)
"He who begins by loving Christianity more than Truth, will proceed by loving his sect or church better than Christianity, and end in loving himself better than all."

It's not a religion, it's a relationship with reality.

I loved this! Thanks!

By the way, may we use this outside of this forum? I really like it! Enough so that I got rid of my silly game related graphic.
