I've been playing along but I'm really holding back. I actual do know precisely what's under your bed.

Nah, I'm stocking corn and peanuts - together they make the ultimate recyclable SHTF survival food.

With the stash of backed beans and a portable heating machine* added to the list I compiled earlier, I must regretfully inform y'all that apart from Dan Dare (who are we to challenge his claim that he knew all along what the mystery object is ), nobody appears to have been able to divulge the real nature of the mystery object under my bed with the use of ESP. Or even without.

The mystery object is in fact the glass door of a shower cabin I got as replacement part for a broken side panel of a different kind of shower cabin and was "gracefully" allowed to keep. Can't figure what to do with the damn thing as it's big (ca. 190x40 cm) tho flat and difficult to dispose of easily, so it's languishing underneath my Japanese-style floor-hugging now.

There. Thank you all for participating, even if it wasn't even close and you can't expect bananas on the house either.

*) an idea I've been toying with, as it happens, so iamthereforeithink might be eligible for a half point for telepathy. What do the peeps think?

I suppose I could consult the I Ching to learn what the superior man would do with the glass door - however, given my propensities, most likely it would be to forget about the thing and go to the pub.

Funny, whenever I consult the I Ching it tells me to go to the pub.

if I was a real woo-woo, I would claim that as evidence, since I DID have one of those under my bed. I would claim that he simply correlated the psychic information transfer with the wrong person in the thread. :levi:

Should we arrange for further testing of iamthereforeithink's telepathological powers?

?? I'm not wearing anything on my head.

Oh you're referring to the rare congenital cranial deformity I suffer from, which makes me look like I have antlers. You're so cruel to bring that up :whine: :whine:

Don't be such a crybaby. I didn't even lampoon your freakish eyebrows or the weird growth (of mold?) under your nose, did I?

Someone guessed "a gun" for me ... gee, think you know me much?

But while sorta kinda a little close, it's not correct. What is under my bed at home is a black plastic double rifle case (capable of holding two rifles, not a case for a double rifle), which is currently empty except for the normal foam liner and a detached bipod and sling.

Now I'm quite sure a TV psychic would claim that they were thrown off by the memory of a former gun - some sort of combination of telepathy and homeopathy. But I don't buy it.

I've got another challenge. Under my CURRENT bed - the one in Afghanistan - there are two duffle bags, one cardboard box, and one item which measures about 12"x12"x6". Whoever gets that before, say, Martin Luther King Day in the US will win one (1) Internet.

Want me to try I Ching on that? But I warn you - I'll hold you responsible if it directs me pub-wards ...

You're not blaming me for your impending cirrhosis ... I hear that one can go to the pub and not drink. Seems like a bunch of bullshit to me, but others assure me they've done it themselves.

Sure, give the I Ching a whirl. See if it can succeed - besides, you're probably forgetting what the inside of your pub looks like, aren't you?

A shower door and a rifle case - those were my next two predictions. No fair. You guys didn't give me and my team enough time. :(

You'd be amazed at the kind of statements that would induce the thought of going to the pub ... one could even start a thread on that I suppose ...

No, no, you didn't. So I won't mention the fact that you look like a dog.
