Ghosts of Woo Woo II

#1  Postby Varangian » Apr 21, 2012 1:26 pm

World War II gave humanity some of its darkest days, millions of men sent off to war, genocide on an unbelievable scale, and millions left homeless and their families destroyed. From America, to Germany, to Russia, to Japan and more, not a single country was left unscathed from the horrors of this war.

Ghosts of World War II follows three friends as they traverse through some of the war’s most notorious sites, as well as the little known sites to hunt for spirits still lingering behind.

WHAT THE DOCUMENTARY IS ABOUT

Ghosts of World War II focuses on the efforts of three friends as they traverse through Europe, doing ghost hunts at locations that have very large tie-ins to World War II.

Places such as Wewelsburg Castle - located in the village of Wewelsburg - was used during the war as a location for the planning of SS swearing in ceremonies, as well as many spring conferences of generals took place there. The castle was also being prepared by Reichsführer Heinrich Himmler as a location to become both the center of the world after victory as well as the Reich SS Leadership school. The castle is currently serving dual purposes with one wing being used as a museum, and another wing as a 204 bed hostel.

Each location will thoroughly be researched, enabling us to learn the history of the location before, during, and after the war. If the location has people working inside it, they will be interviewed about their experiences inside the building. As dusk approaches, the team will enter the location to set up several security cameras, as well as audio recording devices. During the hunt, two members of the team will go out into the various rooms to try to contact the spirits by diverse means. Questions will be asked, items will be left out for the spirits to move, and (if possible) an item pertaining to the location will be used. Once the sun rises, the team will tear down their set-up and return to the hotel to begin analyzing the data before going to the next location.

During the filming of this documentary, we will be keeping our fans up-to-date online with blogs and other social media sites like Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, giving you all insights on how the hunt is going, where we've ventured to, and whatever else we encounter during our journey through Europe.

WHY GHOST HUNTING? WHY WWII GHOSTS?

Why not ghost hunting?! Everyone loves a good ghost story, and let's face it - people love watching others get scared out of their wits when a ball rolls across the room, or a chair starts rocking... or their friend pokes them in the side and sends them running out the building!

For World War II, it is an interest us three friends love and enjoy. Ghosts usually linger behind because of traumatic experiences, and WWII sure had those. Ghosts + WWII = Awesome.

Continued.

Now that is probably the most stupid thing I've seen in weeks! Like those television shows were people stumble about in the dark, scaring themselves into thinking that there are actual ghosts there, this is just another exercise in pointless woo. If people have money to burn, donate it to the organisations tending to war graves, or better yet to veteran associations, instead of paying for someone's European vacation.

I find this to be both lame as well as offensive to those who suffered during WW2. Bunch of loons :nono:

Well, I hope they don't bring HD Steadicam cameras and floodlights, 'cause that tends to scare the ghosts away.
If you want to lure them out, it should be pitch dark, with a small pen light, and a grainy, shaky camera that you flail about uncontrollably at the slightest sound.

Okay if ghosts are left behind at places of traumatic deaths... go to a fucking concentration camp. Not the fancy hotel that happens to be a bed n breakfast and that was once planned to become an important building for the new world order after they win...

That's just stupid.

True enough. I've visited the sites of three former concentration camps so far and let me tell you: If ghosts actually existed as some sort of incorporeal, traumatised shade of a dead person then these are the places you'd find them in.

Also, bringing in the moronic "ghost" angle conveniently shifts the focus from actual plain old politics to idiocy.
The demonization of Nazism pisses me off no end as it doesn't explain anything and adds completely unwarranted glamour.

I have been to a couple and saw nothing. I went to one camps underground 'medical' facility which appears to have been pretty much a sadists playground where experiments or simply murder was carried out. It was dark and creepy but thats it. I wouldn't want to spend the night there but thats just me being irrational and associating the place with the events that happened there rather than there being anything actually there.

Of course there's nothing there. That's just silly. Those sites are truly haunting, though, if you ask me, in the non-paranormal sense of the word.

This just screams out NAZI ZOMBIES. For a good example of this the movie - "Outpost" and "Outpost II - Black Sun" .
