Oh, coincidences? Like the two occasions this week that I've got up to go to the loo in the night (I don't normally go to the loo in the night) and I've peeked out through the blinds to see the cops in our road dealing with our local delinquent 15 year old girl and her boyf. (very entertaining!)

I've concluded that a) they must have been making some sort of racket to disturb my sleep without me being conscious of it. And b) the cops prob end up at their house every other night but I'm just not aware of it.
Assumption is the mother of all fuckups.

I might only be trying to make a point to myself if this keeps up for long. Read the OP. If you want to contribute something, you might get to the point of convincing yourself that I'm actually a USA government conspiracy rather than a real person. There really aren't too many options. One of them is 'outlandish coincidence'. I take it literally (or we claim I exist and do).

I guess that ULTIMATELY I am trying to 'make the point' that human history is semi-programmed around the inevitability of Yellowstone super-eruption, that a technocratic political liberalism/socialism around a merger of secularism and a neo-Baha'i outlook with skepticism on all sides at its core is correct, and that mathematics education and adult education are undersupported; and that these are arguable on the grounds that I'm more unique than anyone else in this day and age, and that for my message to be incorrect in the large would undermine the plausibility of human progress in the face of a true enemy we cannot escape or appease. This will take me ten years, so don't ask me to explain it here. The thread is looking to cut into my uniqueness a little bit by trying to find lesser but still significant outlandish coincidences like the ONE that seems to be as such here so far. The coincidence I am most concerned with myself is that all of the open-minded and intelligent people shut up when I am around once they know what I am on about.

What do you want from five minutes of writing in the mood I'm in? Read the OP.

Every seven years since my birth I've received a large blow to my left eye requiring stitches.

7, fell out of bed.

14, struck with a 9 iron.

21, Kick to the head.

Direct response to the OP:

What you've done here is a very poor attempt at something that far smarter men have unsuccesfully tried to do for centuries. It's called Numerology: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numerology

Give anything two events, objects or whatever the heck you like and I can provide you with a mathematical link between them, far less arbitrary than the ridiculous subtraction of a convenient number from the result of a convenient equation. There are so many loopholes in your method of finding patterns in random occurences that it would be a waste of everyone's time to point them out to you.

Hint 1: These dates in 1 have the significance YOU attach to them. They mean absolutely nothing to me. They are not special in any way whatsoever, except TO YOU.
Hint 2: An arbitrary equation provides a result that you are forced to manipulate in a very specific way, in order to get results that make sense TO YOU.

How about them patterns?

I know it isn't the 'reason', but it's far more likely to be part of a causative chain than the fact that I stepped on a wasp just now is part related (other than temporally) in some way to my thinking about your post.

Cakrit: Oh, thanks. Another person who knows how to talk about numbers but doesn't know how to use them apparently. I placed 11th on the U S A Mathematical Olympiad and attained to Associateship in the Society of Actuaries with high test scores despite diagnoses with multiple psychoses. I had the highest 9th grade score on the AHSME on the date the first magnetar was discovered. I know a lot more about this than you do. I'm not objective on it--I can't be fully--but nobody here is. I don't have the time or energy for a full discussion of all of my coincidences right now. That entails a very lengthy narrative, for one thing. I read the article you pointed to. Why don't you read its history? I'm in it.

Be optimistic. They say, "Bad things come in threes," you are three-cubed years old, and the age you are worried about has been called a perfect number for millennia.

Don't change the subject. How good you are at math has absolutely nothing to do with how you choose to use that knowledge. You could use advanced topology or elementary geometry, for all I care. If you really can't see how arbitrary your process is and you won't listen when others try to indicate its flaws, there's nothing any of us can do to help you. There's no point in having a discussion if you are already convinced you know the answer.

This question appears directed at me in regards to the 'Numerology' article at Wiki. Sorry, that would be Julzes. You can find my return to the internet after years of self-deprivation in the pages of Wikipedia. Just about the first thing I did was try to edit myself into the article on numerology, but they wouldn't take original research of any kind (and it was inappropriate to presume that because what I have is sound that it should be in a current edition of an encyclopedia, I finally reasoned on my own).

cakrit: I have not demonstrated 'process'. What I have done is illustrate coincidences from my life in order to elicit other people's. I don't have time for your presumptions on the narrative of my process, which is not in any way, shape, or form available to you at this time.

STEP 1: calculate (365+1/4)^4=17797577732+7^2/2^8.
STEP 2: Extend the 7s on the right to get 17797777777.777...
STEP 3: Take the fourth root
STEP 4: Subtract 365.25
STEP 5: Search in string of digits for the first two 2nd millennium dates
STEP 6: Pairing these two dates in a search of Britannica 2001
STEP 7: Out of the 20 results, pick "Baha'i faith"
STEP 8: Search for "Baha'i" and count the number of results
STEP 9: You get my 5-digit zip code!!!

This is not a process? Dude, I seriously hope you're cracking up over there, writing all this crap just to see how many people you piss off. Otherwise, go seek professional help.

And I mean NOW!

Really...

You're still here?

Well, I guess you're laughing then... Funny indeed...

Let's just say that in my opinion it would be akin to an 18-year-old Roger Federer or [his rival whose name escapes me right now--Spanish guy] trying to put himself in the article on Tennis was what I did. I hope that's not so confusing. The thing about it all in my case is that one example of something theoretically puts a whole lot of other stuff slightly on its head. Don't get lost on it. I said 'slightly'. Anybody who thinks that I'm saying science and skepticism are bullshit after reading everything I've said is a totally lost person, but there is a problem.
Your turn, hackenslash; I have to ignore this thread for two days at least in order to sleep and do other things I'm committed to.

Ok. That's about the whole of the process, though. The (unavailable) narrative explains that I wasn't data-mining to get to this point.

Someone (else) did once say that if you're going to tell the truth you should make them laugh or they'll kill you. I'll try to think of something funny to say. Hmm. .... Nope. I guess there could be a problem, eh?

Incidentally, 'Baha' gets 42 hits by itself, since you are a Douglas N. Adams fan.
