How could a medium, somebody who states that talks to the dead, that he/she is for real? If he/she needs to see the client to communicate with dead relatives, how can he prove that it`s not just cold reading?

So in what condition can he prove that he is for real to James Randi for example?

By accurately conveying information to James Randi, that they could not have gotten frorm somewhere/someone else and aren't just guessing about.

And how can a test be conducted to prove this?

Why dont you work it out for yourself? By actually looking up cold reading and learning how its done its quite simple to work out how to stop it. That way you don't have to wait to be spoonfed answers by strangers on the Internet.

By making specific truth claims which are only true for the dead relative in question
By avoiding cold reading or any general questions that could apply to almost anyone
By framing them not as questions but statements since they are assumed to be true

I contacted an animal communicator (medium) concerning the spirit of my late cat. After several minutes of no success, suddenly he made a connection with my cat who is in puddycat heaven. He asked it to provide information that could verify it was indeed my cat. I did not give any information other than the name of the cat. This is what the spirit told the medium:

1. It died of septic shock triggering heart failure:

I actually don't know the exact cause of death, but heart failure is how we all die so I didn't see much in this.

2. It had a painful but short death:

This is true, but many pets die painful deaths. So, I wasn't overwhelmed by this.

3. It remembers being put on my shoulder:

This is again correct. However, many cats are put on the shoulders of their owners.

4. It wanted to know why its bed was thrown away.

Was surprised by this as I did, in fact, throw its bed away as it was too painful to see it empty. However, many pets have their own beds and their owners will usually put it in storage. So, not amazing in and of itself.

5. It recalls there being "fungi" on the walls

This spooked me because there is black mold and mushrooms growing on the kitchen wall due to the damp. The vast majority of houses do not have this problem.

So, the cat via the medium gave me information that was all correct. However, only the last piece of info was something I cannot seriously claim the medium could ever have guessed.

Do you have any shrooms growing on your walls? I do. But nobody knew about this until the medium brought it up.

One personal reading isn't itself evidence for God and against atheism. But the totality of them is definitely against atheism.

We only have your recollection of what happened and it can not be independently verified
Mediums being anti atheist proves absolutely nothing other than that fact and nothing else
You can actually be an atheist and believe in the afterlife long as you do not believe in God
