"Pagan" altar found buried in Edinburgh

Had to post on Facebook denying it was me as this happened near where I live. It's got all the hallmarks of something I would do to generally screw with future archeologists.

It's modern Wiccan tat you can buy off Amazon and those photos look pretty shopped. I might take a walk and have a look to see if there's fuck all evidence the story even happened. My guess is that it's one of the local Ghost Tours trying to drum up business.

The photos are weird and obviously photoshopped.

Who cuts a triangle of turf off a round object?

And what 'expert' imagines a find literally at surface level like that?

Seems dodgy as hell.

Oh it's almost certainly fake news, but it's litteraly where I take a Sunday walk. Thing is people have got up to shenanigans in that area, of this type. I know several people personally that may have either spun the story, or would have actually buried stuff there for a laugh. There's been a few group chats pop up this morning of folk I know basically saying "Have you seen this? And was this you, you sly fucker" There's been some Cluedo guessing games.

I'm with silverspear, especially since the only 'pagan' belief to use the pentagam is wicca.

That journalist needs to go somewhere quiet, with a shotgun. Alone. "Four points" of a pentagram..
