Yes, I concur. Any ideas of having 'posh' sex quickly evaporated before the spooks came along.

:nono:

edit - I must add that by saying 'posh', I meant in a big, posh 18th century farmhouse.

Posh sex ? Does that involve doileys and bone china ?

I am so glad that you included that edit. I was tempted to make a joke about cocks, curtains and wiping. I'd have had a mod note and a ban for profanity in the peanut gallery.
Would you like a cup of tea with that?

We did have an incident involving candle wax and a 200 year old very valuable (1200 quid) table.

Since when have you referred to it as a 'table'?

Mobiles are usually easier than forums for letting partners know that dinner's ready.

I think we need a dedicated thread for this.

I don't have a mobile phone.

I'm just filling in until someone comes along and says something clever pertaining to the important debate.

Talking of mobile phones, the following stuck out to me

OK, standard fare so far. The following, however, struck me as potentially good evidence;

“Chilling text messages then began appearing on Marianne’s phone. One warned her: “Going to die today, going to get you.” Another read: “I can get you when you awake and I’ll come for you when you asleep bitch.”

All appeared to be from the poltergeist and arrived seemingly from nowhere. None could be traced to a mobile phone, computer or landline. Once again, there appeared to be no ‘rational’ explanation. “

OK, we've got this discarnate intelligence creating a text message. Now mobile phones are one of the few things I know about - having worked in mobile comms for the last 25 years. If this "intelligence" wants to create a text, it needs to have an interface to the network somewhere, so it needs an understanding of the signalling protocols involved. Believe me, those protocols are friggin' complicated ! If it can understand how to interface with a modern digital communication system, it should be capable of coming up with something more erudite than "die bitch".

Anyway, it should have said "I'll come 4u when u asleep biatch"
What sort of texting ghost knows grammar ?

I wouldn't!! It's the first time I've ever written anything longer than a couple of pages!
It nearly killed me!

Great. Now you can get on with cooking the dinner.

I want to hear more of Jeromes scary stories :naughty2: And I'm still open to bribery MrJ

ps. I could share with the peanut gallery the story of the night when campermon was so spooked that he was too scared to go to the bathroom alone :coffee:

:) I'd love to hear more on that! I've never been that scared yet!

I've certainly been scared enough to go to the bathroom, before now.

I'm sure you'll get used to it a bit after the first 12 Billion years.

The thought of having an incorporeal soul that lasts forever fills me with dread!

Just imagine how bored you would get existing for all eternity. Sounds like hell!

Thing is the soul lives outside the universe just like God and all the ghosties, so time does not exist.

You won't even notice it passing by.
