To be fair, I enjoyed about 2.5 of the 3 hunger games books. The films aren't that bad either (haven't seen the last one, it's not on Netflix yet). Jennifer Lawrence is always good value.

I haven't watched or read any of the Hunger Games stories, literally know nothing about them, and so don't get references to them. I'm not interested in them either but I feel like I have to read them so I understand when references to the stories are made.

I guess it depends on what you thought was shite about the end of the books. I liked the book ending and I thought the ending to the movie was terrible, so maybe the movie will be what you're looking for
