Epistemology question

#1  Postby asdfjkl » Dec 14, 2011 9:35 pm

OK I had solipsism syndrome but overcame it awhile ago because I realized I believe that all of the self evident things (ie my perception of a computer screen right now) actually exist because it makes sense for them to exist, and it also makes sense for an outside world to exist but now I have doubts. For example, maybe you don't believe that self evident things exist for some reason, maybe they simply exist and it is self evident regardless of whether it makes sense or not (you don't believe or disbelieve something, things simply are). In which case solipsism could be true even if it doesn't make sense simply because it isn't self evident.
So what do you think is the reason for belief or worldviews, because it is self evident, because it makes sense, neither or both?
