You still haven't told us why you, or anyone, should be a solipsist. Is it just because it seems self-evidently true?

I hope you don't mind me asking, and I in no way wish to offended or embarrass you, but have you been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder?

it seems selfevident that its impossible to know what is "externally"
btw I have some autism symptoms (very mild) but havent seen a shrink.
Me worrying about things seems more like OCD which I def have.

I think that depends on what you think it means to 'know' something-or-other about something-or-other, and how one might arrive at a point where one can be reasonably confident about the results of the type of enquiry that amount to what we call knowledge. There's an interesting exchange between andrewk and susu.exp which touches on this in the "Nomenclature for believing things without evidence?" here.

!
MODNOTE
asdfjkl, your posts here and here are clearly the sort of continuous bumps that have already seen you previously receive two warnings from the moderator staff. Despite plenty of advice and repeated requests to stop bumping and disrupting in this way, you continue to do so and to disregard staff advice.

As a result, you hereby receive a third active warning, which brings with it a week's suspension. In future, please refrain from this sort of behaviour. Failure to do so may see you receive further advice, warnings and suspensions.

Please do not discuss this modnote in this thread. If you wish to discuss or question the actions taken here, please PM myself or a Global or Senior Moderator; alternately, you may start a thread in the Feedback Forum.

If you're referring to the problem of extreme skepticism (e.g. maybe everything I experience is a hallucination, maybe I'm a brain in a vat, etc), then no. In my view that problem is insurmountable. My approach is to just ignore it.

If there is no external world, then I've got a pretty fucked up fantasy to imagine all this stuff going on in the world...
