Central Lunar Eclipse

I find this presentation rather bizarre. It seems to me that the outer images of the moon should be reversed, putting the brightest part of the moon away from, not towards, the central eclipse. Or I could be going nuts.

If I imagine that Earth's shadow is moving from lower left to upper right then the sequence is correct.

This compound image from the January lunar eclipse show a similar sequence...

Live: Cosmic Rays from Minnesota

Watch for a while, some are quite bare, others have a lot of activity (and longer duration). The picture updates every 15 seconds.

I think that this is pretty cool too.
