The next time someone uses this BS as an anti-abortion tactic, I'm going to hit them with the following:

Innocent babies who die go directly to heaven. God's will.

Innocent "pre-born" (FSM, I want to puke just typing that) go directly to heaven.

People in heaven live the perfect existence, where their every desire is granted while they worship the lard forever.

Some people get to heaven regretful that they never had a chance to have a child - miscarriage, infertility, etc.

Gawd would grant them the opportunity to become pregnant and bear an angelic child - what better source than an aborted pre-born?

It's all part of the plan.

I mean, that must have been some kind of breakout group rather than legislators making actual serious legal arguments based on "the will of god". Isn't it?

Just lately, every time I look at a Republican politician, I find myself wondering if the individual in question is the product of recursive genealogy. Or, worse still, the result of genetic input from assorted farm animals.

I mentioned this in the Trump thread. We were watching a tv show last night about a woman being raped to shut her up when she dared to "worm" her way into some male-dominated activity. This and the misogyny that is his administration is a little frightening in that it could see society reverting to women being sent back to where they were 75 years ago. I'm not going to be here to see it, but I would hate my granddaughter to conclude that we are lying to her when we tell her she can be anything she wants to be.

Surely shooting an Oklahoma state senator would be the will of God too. And if what you're doing is the will of God, what you're doing must be right, and so no human court has the right to condemn you for the act. Seems fair.

Former State Senator Ralph Shortey Appears In Court On Child Prostitution Charges

NORMAN - A former state senator facing child prostitution charges made an appearance in court this afternoon.

Ralph Shortey, a Republican from Oklahoma City who represented the state's 44th senate district, was charged last week in Cleveland County with three counts relating to child prostitution. He turned himself in last Thursday and has been out on bond since.

He faces three felony counts of engaging in child prostitution, engaging in prostitution within 1,000 feet of a church and transporting a minor for prostitution or lewdness.

Friday was his initial court appearance and the judge entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.

Another court date has been set for April 11.

The affidavit makes for particularly juicy reading ... apparently the boy in question still had a conversation about sex and smoking weed on his Kindle when police searched for evidence in the case ...
