I don't know that I take complaints that sometimes the player loses health points in a video game all that seriously either.

I've just realised I haven't played multiplayer FPS in ages. And I'm playing more tactical stuff. I'm getting old. Next I'll be buying a PC.

Shadow of War is getting marked down, by those who are marking it down, for the weirdest of reasons. Now there's too much to do. What?

Disgaea 5 + Opeth's Damnation album = Perfect.

(can't stand in game music)

EDIT: Bought this game Jul 29th last year -

Animavore wrote:Disgaea 5 is at a fairly nice price in the Japanese Sale. Tempted.

Never bothered playing it. It's like XCOM on psychedelics and amphetamines.

I see it has an 86 on Metacritic, so it seems like it's going to be good.

Oh it's mostly positive. Only a couple marked it down.

Mines downloading right now. Will be locked 'til 00:00 tomorrow night though. Luckily I'm not in work Tuesday.

Why oh why couldn't we have this rather than bland cash grab that Dice made:

*Edit. Start at 04:03, to skip the history of the developer and go right to what Battlefront 3 would have been like with alpha footage.

I'm paying for FF XIV, money is not the problem here. I haven't been on FF for about 2 months, as I get bored very quickly when I reach high level. Tomorrow, there is an update with some new content on the main story, so I may go back to it in a near future, play a couple weeks and disappear again.

Edit : I'm against private servers, by principle.

Tried FFXIV, could not get into it, despite liking the FF franchise.
Money itself isn't the issue. It's more a cash for value issue for me.
I think MMOs just aren't enticing enough for me to pay a monthly fee.
With WoW it's because of the focus on end-game and the tedious time-gating.

I do the same with SWTOR.
Which I do play enough when I pay to justify the cost. But then SWTOR has descent singleplayer campaign content.

Fair enough, to each their own.
However, I paid 100s of euros to play WoW legitimately and I don't give money to private servers.
And if I didn't have access to private server, I wouldn't play the game period.
So, it's not as if I am taking money away from Activision/Blizzard.

The best thing FF XIV has, and no one else does, is that you can make all jobs with one character. Harvesting, crafting, combat jobs, all in one character. I love that, not to have to create 5/6 rerolls just so i can try other classes.
I think the content of the game, and the regular updates justify the monthly fee, for this game. Can't say if it's the case for others.
I quit SWTOR when they became free-to-play, and it didn't appeal to me enough to go back to it. Never been a big fan of SW anyway.

I agree, that's one of the selling points of the game.

What I mean is that, while the amount of content might justify the price, very little of said content is actually appealing to me. Meaning, for me personally, the price does not justify the experience.

Understandable.

Yeah I understand that, I don't play 100% of the content either. If you don't like PVP and crafting, for example, then it's not worth putting money in the game.
Unlike other games, all 3 main aspects of the game (PVP, solo campaign and crafting) are very compartmentalized. None is useful for the others.
