Watching Earth to the Moon now

Fantastic series.

It's available on Amazon.com Video.......free with your Prime membership.
Great to see the archival videos.

From the Earth to the Moon is a 12-part 1998 HBO television miniseries co-produced by Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Tom Hanks, and Michael Bostick, telling the story of the landmark Apollo expeditions to the Moon during the 1960s and early 1970s in docudrama format.

Thread title - Upcoming movies you’re anticipating. For clarity, that means movies (feature films), which have not yet been released (upcoming), which you are anticipating (looking forward to seeing, but have not yet seen).

...like when the NASA folk make a sequel to the moon-landing. Given the advances in special FX since 1969, I expect that the Mars-landing will be totally excellent!

:nono: ur not a mod f..

DVD Review: From the Earth to the Moon - Space.com
https://www.space.com › Entertainment
Sep 23, 2005 - HBO's new From Earth to the Moon five-disc box set covers the broad spectrum of NASA's entire Apollo effort, from the astronauts and their wives to the Apollo test flights that never left Earth ... Despite their episodic format, each of the 12 installments of From the Earth to the Moon feels like a separate film.

and I'm looking forward to seeing each film...again  :coffee:

Did I say I was one? I'm just a member who would appreciate being able to read what the thread suggests I can reasonably expect to find. We already have threads for both films we've seen and series we are watching. You post in them regularly. Doing the same thing again is just childish. Practice what you preach.

I am off to the cinema to see a play; "Cat on Hot Tin Roof". It is a live feed from London National Theatre at the Apollo.
We do this often. It is great.

Yes, I like that cinema's a branching out to make theatre and opera performances more widely available.

This version of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof was very disappointing. The decor was terrible so were the accents. Only Sienna Miller who played Maggie the 'cat' gave any light in the performance. She is a British/American actor (pc these days).

We are going in two weeks to Twelfth Night (RSC) which is coming direct from Stratford.

Some plus-points though...
* At least it's a sequel rather than a remake.
* They seem to have done a good job imitating in digital what matte artists Pete Ellenshaw and Jim Fetherolf did with paint-on-glass 54 years ago.
* Emily Blunt is well cast.

Trailer number two for the Han Solo movie...

There's Woody Harrelson, a new droid, a young Lando Calrissian and a brief glimpse of what might be a wookiee love-interest for Chewbacca...
