The original is well known, but the sequel is waaaaayyyyyyyy better. :)

When I was in my young teens I was in a habit of taping MTV videos I liked, with Headbangers Ball being my favourite source. I amassed a huge collection, only for my father to tape over it, which I remained bitter about for quite some time. Most of the songs I remembered well, so had no problem in getting them back but there were these two songs that completely evaded me. I knew one had clips from Nightmare on Elm Street in the video but, for the life of me, couldn’t remember the name of the band or the song. The other song I had the melody in my head but couldn’t picture the video at all. I’ve searched for the songs for a while but eventually gave up and forgot all about them. That is until the other night when I stuck some random YouTube playlist on in the background and the Nightmare on Elm Street song came on. :jump:

I cannot describe the elation I experienced; the last 30 years evaporating in the first few cords of the guitar. What made the whole thing even more insane is that the second song was just a few videos after the first. This was the happiest that I’ve been in a long time and I’ve been on a hair metal binge since.

The singer in the second video has a distinct Garth Algar look, minus the glasses. Schwing!

:waah: :shifty: This is the only Barry Manilow song I know off the top of my head.

I haven't seen that movie in a couple decades.

How do you ID music like this? Shazam/Soundhound doesn't work.

Music begins at 0:06, seems like a different music plays at 1:04?

I'm warning, extremely addictive

hey, hazel eyed beauty,
didn't i said your time will end,
now your eyes are like Harami**
didnt i said you will get old(close enough)

**: Haraamis are bandits and thieves in the ottoman and middle east at that time, he means your eyes are ruined, no more beatiful.

poem have more 4lines like this and all are about beauty of a woman in the first 2 lines and then unimportance of the physical world in the last 2 lines

A comment on youtube made my day

Open two tabs of this and play them 22 seconds apart. I just did it by accident and it was well worth it. I did this sober. Imagine the possibilities!

Pink Floyd on Alexa Echo ...sounds surprisingly good since they offered the extra bass boost ...positioned on a table with some added resonance.
Would be superb on the HomePod but too much $$ and not enough smart function.

Music is free with Amazon Prime along with a LOT of other advantages and nice to be able to just ask for an artist mix

Like the shuffle voice command and skip pause volume all hands free....even across the room.

tho could not find JJ Cale :(
