That's how I look at it, and division as multiplication by the reciprocal.
4 / 2 * 6 =
4 * 1/2 * 3 =
2*3 = 6
not
4 / 2 * 3=
4 / 6 = 0.667
4 / 2 * 6 =
4 * 1/2 * 3 =
2*3 = 6
not
4 / 2 * 3=
4 / 6 = 0.667
