The record for high-temperature superconductivity has been smashed again.


Lanthanum hydride LaH10 @ 250 Kelvin (47 K warmer than previous best). No Mesiner effect (exclusion of magnetic fields) yet because the sample is in a diamond anvil at 170 gigapascals pressure but the zero electrical resistance is observed and the critical temperature is seen to decrease when the hydrogen is replaced with deuterium (as expected).
