OK, rebuilding, have ordered stuff:
i7 8000X 6 core processor.
Asus ROG Strix mobo.
32G, 2 x 16 Ripjaws because.. why not, as RAM.
Corsair Hydro H80i as cpu cooler.
Blown my initial budget for a base rebuilt, but
Total overkill.
