These seem like rather exaggerated terms in which to describe the selling of advertising space.
I'm not much happy about the repetition of "this stuff", but I don't see any exaggeration. What you've spotted is a hostile tone towards Google and advertising, which pretty well reflects my actual sentiments towards Google and advertising.

That said, I'd have rather have kept those sentiments out of the thread and just tried to talk about IPFS without getting carried away. Bad etiquette on my part.
