I have not tested any of those risers for folding, only for getting my MyTV frontend to play HEVC video. I might give the one I have a try with a graphics card for folding just to see how much it might degrade the performance. The difference may be greater if the riser is fed from a short PCIe slot as they tend to have lower bandwidth. There's no problem putting a short card in a long faster slot. Though all the long slots on a motherboard don't tend to have the same bandwidth.
