I've got an idea... but I am a bit concerned about how to frame it as a single area of scientific research! Further, I know that some people won't accept it as scientific but rather it be called engineering... but I consider engineering to be applied physics, and with this topic, applied anatomy too... so I think I can get round all possible objections.

I want to call it 'Robotics' but there's an AI component to it... I am going to need to meditate on it for a while!
