Darwinian Evolution is still the foundation of the theory so its accurate to refer to it in those terms even though they are really dealing with the more sophisticated but still false neo darwinian synthesis of natural selection + randomn mutation. But what they are really saying is that we are not evolving but devolving. The existing information is becoming more and more scrambled through mutation with each new generation. This is a process leading to extinction not an increase in fitness. To not see this is, to me is what genuinely seems dishonest.
