Former far-right MP and right-hand man of anti-Islam politician Geert Wilders has announced his conversion to Islam. It happened while he was writing an anti-Islamic book.
Can anyone think of a reason why we should think better of Joram van Klaveren? I mean, yes another turncoat* among the rabid Muslim-haters, but what is the net effect of replacing rabid islamophobia with the medieval doctrines of an illiterate paedophile? Does it make him a better person? Is the next step for him to become a militant Muslim?
*Mr van Klaveren is not the first high-profile PVV member to convert to Islam. He follows in the footsteps of Arnoud van Doorn, a former Hague-based PVV city councillor who switched in 2013.
