In a discussion about whether the subject of history in high school should pay more attention to the countries of children with an immigration heritage, someone posted this:
History education exists to plot the major events, independent of hic et nunc. Just like the Bible, independent from religious rigamarole, provides a fascinating and perfectly nuanced image of human naturer and it's constant tstruggle to strive and fail. The Bible is solidified history and philosophy combined.
But who reads the Bible that way?
People who don't know and appreciate the Bible should keep quiet about history and history education.

Also in that same discussion was this statement, while probably not related to believers, still hilarious:
History should be about the future!
