Both Markuze and Galaxian suffer massively from absurd delusions. Those delusions control much of their behaviour. And yet both of them continue to function and survive outside the confines of mental institutions. As long as they constitute no danger to themselves* or others there is no need to section them. That's all I was meaning to say.
Now that Rachel Bronwyn has raised the issue about how to react to Markuze's ideas, I'll just add that I have no inhibitions whatsoever to laugh at and ridicule them. There really is nothing else you can do when reading his interminable rants about Nostradamus's quatrains, the impending wrath of God and the role of the 1980s pop band Depeche Mode with all of this. Of course Markuze regards any ridicule of his ideas as a personal attack. That is not my doing.
*The legal system did decide that Markuze was a danger to others at one stage, but it also decided he was not dangerous to the degree that actual confinement was necessary.
