It can be beneficial to believe that you're lucky underpants helps you get women because it makes you more confident in your dealing with them. This doesn't really mean that your lucky underpants have any women-attracting properties, quite possibly the opposite if they are a bit old, but rather you've managed to convince yourself that one particular pair of underpants have special properties in relation to women.
Your God is just a pair of lucky underpants.
