Dawkins was successfully shut down by trolls pretty much. It's a bit more complicated than that but basically I don't think Dawkins quite got how juvenile and how low trolls would go having not been inured to them from actually being on internet forums for any time. Best thing to do though would be to ask the mods here and or read the thread on the title page of the now defunct RDF.
Quote = reply to post in quotes, doing that puts quote tags around the person in question and you can add your message underneath.
