As a IT tech I see a range of IT knowledge some people wouldn't know how to download something legally. But for anyone else the ability to Google "free music/films/Thor/Photoshop" or "what happened to pirate bay" allows them to learn, through forums or Yahoo answers, that they just need to put 'torrent' after a film title to get it for free or to "download software X" or "type XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX into the address bar to get to TPB" etc.
A large number will find it beyond them/too much work and will just go to iTunes. For anyone that has used TPB before, when they get redirected, will just do a search and be presented with 100,000 answers to their problem. The people that, for whatever reason, want you to download illegally have made it very easy to do so. You can add proxies to your browser.
