The Hollande Government is trying to introduce same-sex marriage NOW. There has been a fierce rearguard religious and conservative action with some mayors (I HAVE posted this) declaring that even if the law is passed, they will not conduct such marriages.
OK, I vaguely remember you posting that. It just doesn't seem to me to make the news as much as SSM in the US or UK. Probably just for simple reasons of language.
