Sure!

As long as you don't mind my rock collection in the living room. :dopey:

For my 4 plant limit, I could use trash barrels for planting pots, and have a 2 story high greenhouse to grow them.
Better yet, just have a dirt floor in that greenhouse. :smoke:

A two-story growing space is actually not necessary to grow MJ, an 8 foot ceiling height will do. And trash barrels would be overkill because a 12 inch tall pot about 15 inches in diameter is all that's needed. Still, growing out doors is much preferred, plants enjoy sunlight over grow lights and saves a ton of electricity.

You can grow them in your garden. Anyone asks, tell them they're "Japanese Marigolds." ;)

RE Indoor growing;

Except a grow room can be charged with CO2, bugs can be eliminated, and birds won't shit on them, deer won't eat them, hail and wind storms are no threat, the humidity can be controlled (and soil moisture content controlled if not employing hydrophonic methods), the hours of light can be set, there is no seasonal "down time" and no drifting pollen from a male plant in the area will ruin your crop. The best pot I've ever seen has consistently been produced indoors.

All at least generally true but the risks are minimal. I've grown both indoors and out and never suffered the downsides you mention in my outdoor crops in 20 years of growing.

Spider mites can be harder to manage than you may think, and the electricity costs can become burdensome. And if there are deer in your area, your garden needs to be fenced anyway. Photo period can be controlled by having your plants under frames over which black plastic sheeting can be thrown so you get 12 hours of sunlight when in bud mode. If you grow enough outdoors during a summer, you don't have to be concened about seasonal changes.

There are good arguments both ways. I grew indoors until our eletricity rates increased and drove me outdoors.
