Yesterday, it was announced that one of these cops will face felony assault charges in the wrongful death. The other will face misdemeanor assault charges.

But the details of the shooting makes me wonder if this is progress. The victim was a Native American from Oklahoma with mental illness. The police officers who tased and beat him were black.

Could this enforcement be due to the cops race? And will a jury convict them based on that race when in a similar case the would acquit white officers?
