Story of my life.
It seems better to not exclude a large proportion of the population from any profession.
Even if such large proportion of population would exclude itself?
Why would it be a good thing to have most maths teachers be women when men can do a good the job just as well?
Because we are not after social engineering of a trend but lasting and universal principles of freedom of choice, equality and individuality?
Personally, I think that those who propose and/or insist on diversity through equal representation should lead by example. For example males should take nursing and teaching jobs and females coding and construction jobs. Now how many do we have here who lead by example?
