This is all too sadly spot on and I've been watching with horror.
We should've seen it coming though, even in our own midst. One only needs to look at the Islam subsection here to see Peter Brown was heading down this path years back. Now it appears to be in free-fall with everyone out-doing each other in expressing ever more extremist pronouncements. About once a day I see a comment on a news site about how our time is up and that they (the newly energized right) will be coming for us soon.
