I can't help but think there's something going on here that's not being reported, something stinky going on behind the scenes with Russia.

Just from the BBC front page today:

Gas price crisis: Government poised to step in, says Kwarteng - wholesale gas prices have gone up by 250% since the beginning of the year. Most EU gas comes from Russia, which will have a knock-on effect for the market as a whole.

Salisbury poisonings: Third man faces charges for Novichok attack - apparently the commander of the hilarious funsters who blew up a Czech ammunition depot and spread nerve agents in a UK city.

Russia behind Litvinenko murder, rules European rights court - not unexpected, but the timing.

And this week was election week in Russia (not that there was any doubt about the outcome).

At the risk of moving into :tinfoil: territory here - what am I missing?
