Is the USA simply more "politically correct" than the UK? Is the USA simply more mindful of the diversity of its people that do not celebrate Christmas (even though about 96% of Americans do)?

Let me show an example of what I'm talking about. Apple, an American company, has set up a "Gift Guide" on its website. For their US site it's called a "Holiday Gift Guide", but for the UK site it's a "Christmas Gift Guide":

Anyone care to comment on why this small but significant cultural difference occurs between the countries?


The UK doesn't have very many batshit insane fucks trying to inject religion into everyone's face, so saying "Christmas" is ok with everyone.
