I just wanted to let you know that I am extremely disappointed in your decision to remove the "rip & roll" advertising from your bus shelters in Queensland. These ads depict two fully-clothed gay men holding an unopened condom packet.
As a safe-sex promotion and aesthetically, nothing could be more mundane and more necessary.
I have read that the Advertising Standards Bureau had no part in the removal of the advertisements, and that Brisbane City Council has similarly stated that it had "no involvement in this matter”.
So, it seems that the removal is entirely the decision of Adshel... even though you yourselves state that "Adshel does not take a position regarding the views or position of various community groups.”
By removing the adverts, you are doing just the opposite.
It's a real shame.
