Australia has a very good internal airline service at reasonable costs and given the low population and distances ...air travel makes the most sense except in the few high density corridors.
Travelling with Nexus card really speeds things up cross border and incoming into Canada is a stroll. Luggage is the bottleneck.

I guess there used to be passenger rail service reasonably close to here, but that ended long before I was born. The tracks are still there, but only used sparingly to transport lumber afaik.
