Flying somewhere is on my bucket list, but if/when I do, it won't be any less than 1000 miles. I'd probably go to Sacremento to see an old friend, and if that goes ok, it's off to Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Then maybe I'd dare to go abroad. Hawaii is probably as far as Finland, but has other Americans, so not as scary.
